Question though. On the picture "delphiniumsrosesLouisianairis" did you do the rock border yourself? It is very lovely. I hate to do rockwork myself, it is just such hard work, and might consider paying someone to do it (what a tough decision.) If you did it yourself, do you know how long of an area it extends and how much rock you needed? I also hate the cost of rock...LOL

I really enjoyed looking at the photos of your garden. All those beautiful roses! And I also especially liked your use of decorative items; not too few, not too many, and always well-placed. Now for the big question: How many years have you been working on getting your garden to this point? Please, please say 20 or 30. If you got it looking that good in just a few years I'll feel so inadequate!

Loved all your pictures but I especially liked the Iris and Foxglove photo....I've never grown Foxgloves before but when I do I sure will match them up with those Irises like you did.....again nice photos, going to show'em to my wife when she gets home as she'll really enjoy them I know. By the way I saw some Yellow Foxgloves down at Country Garden Nursery near Newnan a while back, I started to get a couple, wish I had now...You tell yourself, "you don't have room for those", but that's not right, you'll find SOMEPLACE to put them.....:)

I haven't been to Country gardens Nursery for a couple of years but darn, wish I had known about the yellow foxglove! BTW, foxglove are so easy to grow....and they'll do well in sun or shade. They reseed themselves very freely too. Try them, you'll love them! The seeds are very tiny so all you have to do is sprinkle them on your soil. When I was starting them in the greenhouse, I took a flat (one with few holes), filled it with potting soil, sprinkled my seeds and when they had germinated I took a fork and took a "plug" out of the soil and seperated the tiny seedlings and potted them up in 6-pks. For the "bang" you get, they are definately one of the easiest to grow!

Hi Donna. I got your email and can't believe that you have developed your wonderful garden in only 7-10 years. And your roses are all so healthy looking!
BTW, I forgot I had that Picturetrail link in My Page. I've added a few new pics since then and now use webshots. New link is in My Page now.
This year my gardening will mostly be to get it back in shape. I had a death in the family last year that threw me for a loop and I let the garden go. Right now I'm putting soil in the retainer planter and will get some plants in there next week (at least a begining on it).

I could just sit and study the way you put your flowers together! I love the colors, the form. How do you keep those roses looking so good? I'm a new rose girl and have only tried knockouts mostly. I'm gonna branch out this year, and replace them with some yellow/apricot shades. Let's hope I know what I'm getting into! I hope that it 7-10 years my garden looks half as magical as yours. It gave me the warmest feelings inside! Thanks for letting me see it.
