I googled Brazil Plants, and Mauro says it's from the Atlantic coast of Brazil and it likes shade. Don't know if a north window would be light enough tho'. Needs good drainage--it grows on limestone rocks in nature. Nice picture too. I could probably spend the rest of my life on that site! Didn't check Ron or anyone else--leave the fun to you!

Oh, cool. Just what I was looking for, thanks! If it likes shade, then it'll have to be the north window, it's either north or south for me. But I have supplemental lighting there too, so it should work. And I guess I better add some lime to the mix. I didn't know of this site, Brazil Plants, thanks for pointing it out for me, lots of good info! -- I did check the gesneriad reference website, but they only have a picture, or at least that's all I found there. Thanks for the help!
