Midday droop starting early this year?

Most of our full sun plants have midday droop already this year. Seems to me in past seasons this didn't happen until late June or so. The plants perk up OK in the late afternoon and look nice in the AM. Still it distresses me and I have to restrain myself from running out with water to revive them.

Has anyone else noticed this. Is it normal for this time of year?

No. As a matter of fact, some of my normally droopy plants (hydrangeas come to mind) are looking great. Not sure where you are in GA, I'm in Buford (obviously). We've had plenty of rain and it's been a bit cooler than normal, so that makes a difference.
