We live about 50 miles below Macon GA and our neighbor has a huge mulberry tree about 25 feet high. It's always loaded with berries. If you're close to that area, I'd say go for it. The neighbor says they make a great cobbler. Saw a fox eating the berries one day too.

We have a huge white mulberry in our yard that just came up by itself years ago before we built here. The mulberries are delicious and the robins love them. I also frequently pull up mulberry seedlings out of my beds. I guess courtesy of said robins leaving seeds.

Red Mulberry is native to the region however white mulbery (Morus alba) is highly invasive and should be avoided.

Our house came with two mulberry trees in the backyard. One is about 20 feet and produces good sized nice tasting berries. The other one is a little stunted, but still fruits. I think it might have randomly seeded as it's growing in a corner and doesn't look like anyone would have intentionally put it there.

I have a Jujube tree. Its only 3 years old and has not fruited yet. Although they say it can take a while for them to set fruit(5-7 years I read somewhere) I'm beginning to wonder if I don't need a second tree for pollination.
