You'd have to really try to hurt this grass.

In early spring, when it first starts to show signs of growth, cut it back almost to the tops of the new growth.

Then dig your new planting hole, the same depth as the rootball, and twice as wide.

Then dig up the rootball, and move it to the new planting hole. Be sure to install it at the same level, in relation to the surface, as it was in it's old location.

Backfill with the soil which came out of the planting hole, and water it in well.

If you wish, and it's big enough, you can divide it into smaller plants. If you do this, concentrate on using pieces from the outer perimeter of the rootmass, and avoid the center.
