A few comments, for what its worth. The wee critters would love to hide in your OG, so that you may have answered your own question.

One of anything won't "wrap around" your corner.

OG's are cut down in spring and regrow from the base, leaving a huge gap for at least a few weeks. You need to allow yourself access for this yearly chore.

Miscanthus, Panicum, and Sorghastrum, three of the most common species of tall OGs, are at their best in late fall.

Finally, a bush planted a foot away from your foundation should be replaced with a planting at least 3-4 feet away from the house.

If you're still considering OGs, I suggest a grouping that layers down from the back, maybe including an evergreen in the mid-ground to hide the spring stumps. Don't forget to leave yourself room for maintenance, otherwise you'll trample everything in front of them.
