I should imagine it's Vitex. Mine are blooming now. I love 'em and they are very easy to grow here.

Just saw some on my way home from the store too. I could swear those bloomed overnight and they weren't there yesterday.

I planted a 'Shoal Creek'(cultivar of V. agnus castus) in April 2002 and it was 1'3" tall and 1'1" wide. Today it stands 9 1/2' tall and 14' wide! They are very fast growing and a large one in full bloom is very fragrant. Foliage also has a nice smell. I have never put a granule of fertilizer on my plant, and only gave it water the first couple months during establishment. I have to show you mine.

GAALan, it's lovely. I have one about 15' tall and as wide. I'm trying to train it up. I think it arrived in 2002 or 2003, I bought mine from a woman in the GA farmers and consumers market bulletin for $1. Cheryl, there are many people in the Marietta who deal plants through the bulletin. It's a lovely way to find things at great prices!!
