It's about time! Yay for you and the rest of Buford.

We didn't get a drop in Athens... The storms were above and below us.

I was in forsyth county last night just west of sugar hill and it was like a hurricane that went on for and hour. Drove home to buford and it looked like it barely rained at all. Confirmed by playing back the radar archive that the house just got a little piece of the storm.

I was strange, quirky,It was two cells, one north one south of us. Then they merged and just sat on top of us. A bit west of you, I think. It just shows how spotty it is.

We did lose our patio umbrella. We've become so used to it not storming that we left it open and it nearly launched our glass patio table off the deck.

Thursday and Friday were pretty good days for rain here. With the little that fell just after midnight today my three day total is 1.03". This is the first time since April 15 a storm has produced more than 0.60". Year to date rain total is still 11.59" below where it should be.

The heat continues. Today's high of 92° was the 16th of 90° or warmer for the month. That total is one more than the previous 6 Junes combined!

It's ok I lose my patio table all the time. Actually the table stays put or flops over but the glass doesn't break. The umbrella on the other hand flies off the deck and winds up in... Oz

We were standing on a field in Clarkston all day today for the Surf Music festival. It was registering 98 - and humid, and sunny. Yipes!

Sorry razorback, I know how you feel. Here in Phoenix, GA ( just to the east of Buford city limits) we've not had the real big parts of these storms. Just tail ends of them or just small little storms. I guess that is sort of a good thing since they can do damage and are just plant scary but it's still be on the light side as far as rain goes.
