Sweet Flag looking tattered

Hello,

I understand that sweet flag is not a grass - but I was wondering if any of you familiar with it could give me some advice. I believe the variety is "Ogon"

We planted it around our salt water pool and other spots in the yard last year and it looked fantastic. It even grew well in shade.

This spring many of the plants look very ratty and I am tempted to pull them out. Does anybody know if they are likely to revive with new growth?

Thank you in advance,
