If you live in SoCa, esp Victor Valley I wonder whether you've noted this year a proliferation of certain weeds, esp the brome grasses

They seem out of control this year, esp one var with a deep purple seed cluster (California B?) somewhat attractive though I doubt if it would qualify under "ornamental" and anyhow there's just too much of it

Wondering why: Rainfall so far only 8.2 in., only slightly higher than the past few years and only a tad higher than average of 6 in for Victorville. No doubt some mysterious concatenation of seasonal factors favoring sprouting the scattering from years past. If they plague you also how do you intend to deal with them

I had started pulling mine but the day just isn't long enough. So I had planned to use herbi upon next season's sprouts but of course this isn't environmentally approved while it kills any other nearby growth
