Pumpkins, Squash & Gourds

To late for pumpkin planting...?

I just got permission to plant in the yard of the apartment I rent. I realize it is later in the year then normal for pumpkin planting. But is it to late for me to plant mini pumpkins in time for Halloween and Thanksgiving? Butter Nut squash as well. Is it far to late?

I don't know when your frost date is but if frost doesn't kill the plants prematurely you can still get some by Halloween and for sure some by Thanksgiving. I would also recommend small ornamental gourds, they are very prolific and mature early. I normally start picking gourds around 2.5 months after planting.
