It's always nice if you can tour gardens of some acquaintences. You'll always come away with ideas.

You can come down here anytime and learn what you can kill in drought. Or how crappy your garden can look in drought :(

Check out the Garden Party forum. Way back in the olden days of Garden Web (1994 or 1995?) a bunch of us met up in Cumming and had a great time touring our hostess' yard and having lasagna and wine. We even knocked on one of her neighbors doors and asked for a tour there. lol Great evening!!

Here's what's still hanging on in my yard. I don't know for how long, though. I'm still watering since we haven't had a complete ban here.

Sorry for the image heaviness...couldn't decide when to stop! Ha!

Butterfly Bush and Butterfly:

Mexican Sunflowers. The tops of the plants look great! The bottoms have brown leaves and a few of the smaller plants are starting to wilt:

Tickseed Coreopsis:

Mixed Impatiens and Canna Lilies by the deck. I have about 4 plants that have given up on me, but they aren't visible from this angle. Oh and Carolina Jasmine draping the deck railing. It hasn't seemed to be affected by the drought at all. I fact, I need to go out and trim it, for the third time, this summer!

Impatiens in wheelbarrow under pine tree:

Various Ferns, Hosta and red Caladium. The ferns and hosta are just beginning to get a yellow tinge on a few of the leaves:

Coleus, Plumbago, Red Verbena, Gazania and Columbine that didn't bloom this year. I just planted them this year, though...do they have to wait a year after the initial planting?

Black-eyed Susans:

I don't dare show you my pole beans!
