Planting Vegetables?

Is anyone planting vegetable seeds at this time of year? If so, what? I'm in Gainesville, GA, just a bit north of Atlanta. I've got a bit of extra space in the backyard, and am curious if anything planted now would have time to mature before cold weather.

No, I'm not planting anything right now but you should and hurry up.

Yes, I just planted some cold weather greens because I use them as ornamentals in the flower garden so I like them to be fairly mature as cold weather comes (they dont grow much in colder weather).
I put in chards and kales. At church we just put in another row of miniature corn as our corn is maturing fast due to the rains. YOu can also plant beans. You may only see leaf growth now, but as the weather cools a bit you will have a massive bean production!
