I'm baaaack!

Hello everyone...

After disappearing for a good long while, I'm back. Between the drought and an ongoing divorce, no garden time! So she took the kids, the car, the stuff, the cash, and left... who needs cash to garden?? LOL, I'm baaack, woohoo!

I still have my (now horribly junglefied) acre and a major need for green therapy. [growls] Probably all kinds of therapy.

So the drought restrictions have let up some, I have more time, and I'm starting again! Sheesh, some plants that were in pots behind my shed are STILL alive, amazing.

This time of year, with my overgrown lot, most of my landscaping is gonna be subtractive for a bit.... The second gallon of brush B gone went out yesterday, YAAAY! It's killing about 350 sq feet of weedy island that's shaped right, has great height, fine green color, but...um CONTENT is a problem.

It's nice to be back.

Well, it's nice to see you again. Sorry about the divorce, but hope the garden will provide some healing time (if not an outlet for frustrations!).

Good to get back into it (and have water to make it more likely to succeed in your endeavors).

Glad you're back, but sorry to hear of your woes. From my own experiences (loss of a child, not divorce), I can tell you that gardening is definitely therapeutic. Hang in there, and get out that shovel! ((HUGS))

There is, indeed, something tremendously peaceful and satisfying about gardening, isn't there? To me it is like having a tranquilizer, just to putter around outside with my plants. That's why I like this forum so much. Good luck, Caretaker, with getting rid of all the weeds. Meanwhile, you can get seed catalogs and start planning!

Welcome back ! Sorry to hear about your troubles. I think I still have a Bloodgood Maple you gave me that is now 10' tall.
