Yes, I've had great success with Blue Star Creeper!

Here an a excerpt from an eBay seller, but you should be able to order it from any nursery or on-line nursery.

Blue Star Creeper (Laurentia fluviatilis) is not very well-known, but is a very tough groundcover. Its dainty appearance belies its true nature. Light blue flowers bloom from Spring to Fall. Mature height is 3". Foliage is evergreen in warmer climates and semi-evergreen in colder areas. Prefers full sun to light shade and moist soil. Tolerates foot heavy foot traffic (3 or more times daily)! Perfect for mass plantings and naturalizing. A nice low maintenance plant. Good for USDA climate zones 5or 6 to 10.

I have a groundcover Sedum that is so tuff it'll grow on concrete without soil and I know it to be a fact because I have it growing on a concrete slab on an old well not in use anymore.I planted some around the well and it started growing on top of the slab without dirt,And it looks beautiful.It takes Heat,Sun,Shade, whatever you put it in, It will take.It has star shaped yellow flowers that cover the whole plant, it blooms the first week of June.If in full sun it will bloom for a long period, If in shade not as much,
But it will still look pretty because of it's color and shape.If your are interested in any I would be HAPPY TO SHARE!! My "alternative lawn" is Prunella Vulgaris, a northwest native herb known as 'self-heal' or 'heal all'. It is a wonderful ground cover, requiring 1/3 the water as grass turf and mowing about very third week. It looks fabulously green in August and stays manicured and lovely instead of looking like a dying meadow like all the other "alternatives" I have seen. I'd be happy to send you a photo if I knew how on this website.
