Ebony Knight turns green

20 years ago

I purchased one Ebony Knight 10 years ago and I've now got about 30 in a 2 ft diameter area but 90% of them are not Ebony....they're green! The planting area is in open shade that gets about 3 hours of direct sunlight a day. Did the plants revert or are they getting too much sun?
