I am making a Y shaped path in my cottage garden. It is 25 feet on the long part, and each arm of the Y is about 13 feet. I am laying 22" round paving stones at 5" intervals. The width of the path is 36" with beds on either side. The area gets at least eight hours of full sun in summer. I would love to put in some kind of fairly low groundcover to fill in around the stones, which would take most of the foot traffic. I wonder what all you more experienced gardeners would recommend?
