With a LOT of water and food it might. Mine bloomed very late too, because of this drought. It is about 1/8th of the size it should be.

My yellow Brug has not flowered, but has yellow, wilted leaves hanging down. Does that count? Can't keep it watered often enough, it seems.

The first round on mine....didn't even bloom out. Too blooming (pardon the pun) HOT.
It is blooming now.......about 9 ft tall and full of blooms. I leave a hose dripping on it about 2 nights a week. That gets the deep watering done.
