Citrange is one I know of. Home Depot on 41 has several kinds and all look haelthy. I live in Dallas and have a citrange in its 2nd year and it is doing well. Maybe next year it will begin having fruit. Try palms they do well in NW Georgia as well. Here is a sight for help (my citrange is planted not potted)

In Atlanta, I have to bring my lemon tree in for the winter. Try asking people at your local nurseries if anything will survive the winter outside where you are. My in-laws are in Vidalia, and I don't ever remember seeing a citrus tree outside around there. Prehaps is you had a sheltered location? Have you posted this question o the citrus forum?

I grow Meyer lemons, blood oranges, Calamondin and Marsh Grapefruit. I bought all my plants in Florida from either the interstate exits 'last chance to by citrus' or plant nurseries while on vacation. I have 15 gallon black plastic pots. I keep them out on my deck most of the year. In Nov/Dec my husband moves them to where they can be easily pulled into the garage should the temps get below 28 degrees.... that's my personal choice for cold tolerance. I don't water much in the winter - especially when they are in the garage - but on any days or sequence of days above the 28 degree 'rule' I keep the plants outside. I fertilize with a bagged granular citrus fertilizer (Vigoro or any brand) and follow the application/timing schedules listed. Last year was a banner year for Meyer Lemons and Calomondins. I squeezed some 12 cups of juice from two of my Meyer Lemons. Grapefruit is delicious but not as prolific as the Lemons. I have a Key Lime that I bought two years ago and it's been v-e-r-y slow. Two tangerine trees I grew from seeds are coming along nicely but I think it will be several more years before I get any fruit.... seem to remember reading somewhere that 7 years from seed is normal. Blood oranges are pretty but so far (5 years) not too tasty. I'm in Cumming (zone 7) and have really enjoyed my citrus trees.... especially the Meyer Lemons. Two of the best citrus for container culture in the Atlanta region are Calamondins, which are relatively easy to find, and Kumquats. Both can stay outside well into the fall, stay small, and have attractive fruit. Lemons & Persian Limes are also good, just not as cold hardy. I'm not adventurous enough to try Oranges or Grapefruits -- any fruit you'd get from those would probably be insipid without a really long, hot summer.
