Hello everyone,

Several of our (currently baseball sized) pumpkins and one butternut squash stopped growing after we had to go out of town and the person who was supposed to water them didn�t do it properly. Now that we are back to watering and fertilizing them, the ends of the vines are flourishing and trying to put out new pumpkins, while the original pumpkins are just sitting there unchanged. Should I remove the non-growers to free up energy for the new pumpkin buds, or is there a chance that the stagnating fruits might spring back to life and start growing again? Also, can we eat the butternut that stopped growing, even though it is only one half to a quarter of the size of a mature butternut? Thank you.
