Transplanting groundcover roses

I need advice for transplanting 3 J&P groundcover roses. I planted them last summer, and they are doing well in my courtyard. However, Knockouts look better in the back. I will be transplanting the groundcovers in an established bed on a slope in the front of the house. When and how? I'm a new gardener and new to this forum. I've made lots of gardening mistakes in the last 2 years, but have really enjoyed seeing things grow! Any advice will be helpful!
