I'm trying to make an inventory of what plants to bring with me to S. Georgia, and which to leave. I'm definitely bringing my amaryllis, daylilies, and crinums, because I brought those from SC, so I know they'll survive. I'm wondering about caladiums. Do they have to be dug in the winter in S. Georgia? I'm trying hard to have an easy garden, and I don't plan on having a lot of stuff that has to be dug or protected in the winter, unless of course, there's a freak freeze that will kill anything in its path.

I do so hope I can bring my caladiums, and I may just bring them in pots, which is how I grow them down here anyway.

How about Pomegranates? Mine doesn't do well down here, in fact, in 4 years, I've had no fruit. I remember having a nice one in SC, so maybe I'll bring this one up there.

And Southern Elderberry? I have a gorgeous one that can't be moved, but I can bring a baby from it, and it is sentimental since my son gave it to me.

I do so wish that my purple leaf plum wasn't so large, because it's sentimental too, and I'm trying to take cuttings now, so hopefully I can bring a piece of it with me.

I'm already making lists of things I want to plant!
