That is terrible if it's true. I read something on the drought forum that although different, is similar in that people are sometimes ridiculously restricted with beneficial things they should be able to do on their own property.

I just checked the county's web page. They have a search function where you can look everything up. There is no mention of any prohibitions against pumpkins. Plant away and rest assured. If in doubt I'm sure you could contact the agricultural extension office.

Concur, when in doubt call the county administration. There are other factors which come into play however, If you are in a subdivision with a homeowners association, a covenant, or a specific designation ( historic for example) Your house and yard can be completely controlled.

I live in Dekalb County.. I've heard Gwinnett has more strict rules on green space when it comes to planting & removing trees, plants & other green stuff..lol.. I'm a rule breaker so I wouldn't do well on that side of town. I believe if it will grow, I will grow it in my backyard. I'm not part of a HOA thank GOD
