Blueridge site updated

I see that Bob Selman finially has updated his website (after 2 years) and all the intros are listed and pictured even the 2009 ones. Believe me it was frustrating to me when the 2008 and 2009 intros were not there as I could not look up a picture and description when I wanted it.

Here is a link that might be useful: Blue Ridge intros Gallery

OK, I see a problem. Both Bob Selman and Phil Korth have 2009 intros named Shotgun Wedding.

Oh, oh. How could that happen? I have Phil Korth's Shotgun Wedding and I can't remember off hand all the names of the bonus intros I received from Blueridge this spring.

Could someone please send me a link to Phil Korth's website so that I can check this out? I cannot understand WHY hybridizers do not register their daylilies before they begin selling them!!!

I find it very interesting when I checked the AHS database and neither one of those hybridizers are showing up with the name of SHOTGUN WEDDING. You can check for pre-registrations and reserved names on the AHS database but I don't see it coming up.
I also checked the regular database and zip.

Phil Korth has a 2008 registration called SHOT GUN WEDDING - the two word division of "Shotgun" must be why it didn't pop up until I did an advanced search . I have already called this to the attention of both Gretchen and Rebecca. I imagine the name of 'Shotgun Wedding' from another hybridizer will not be allowed. I wish that people who sell expensive daylilies on their websites would put the note "Name pending" if the registration process has not yet been completed. I know that it sometimes takes a month or more to get registration papers back, but ( IMHO) it is very unethical to sell daylilies at high prices if the registration process has not even begun. It is deceptive and unfair to the buyers, who are then justifiably upset if they buy something and learn the name then has to be changed.

Its written out as one word on his website so thats how I made out my tags. Will have to go change it to two words now.

Apparently Shotgun Wedding didn't stand out to me because I can't remember it on either hybridizer's website. However, I seriously enamored with Selman's ALIEN DNA and BUMFUZZLED.

I find that I have alot of ruffled almost whites now and I get many of them mixed up already when I am taking pictures. Just had some more open (or try too) today.

I love alien DNA too. I have a couple news Selman's, but only new to me...not 2009 intros. I will eventually get Ashville Bele Chere, probably for fall delivery.

I checked out both Shotgun Weddings and I like Korth's the best. It's a real beauty.
Thanks for letting us know about Blueridge updating his site. I'd been frustrated with the lack of info on his intros there from time to time also.
