dekalb compost

Hey..does anyone use the dekalb or buford hgwy compost or mulch ? If so do you use it to admend soil or as a mulch. I ve heard good and bad about it but would like to use it as a mulch maybe seeing as its free...thanks

I've used the mulch behind the DeKalb jail for the past two years. It's essentially shredded and composted trees. It's the SAME soil amendment I bought at Pike. Bought hundreds of bags of this stuff years ago, before I knew I could get it for free.
I was just over there yesterday and the mulch is black and fluffy. I love it.
