The warning is certainly timely Alex. My daughter got nailed last week, said she could scarcely believe how painful it was. After a cold water treatment, she went back to the garden and captured the little monster as her kids were afraid to go back into the garden because of Mommy's extreme reaction. I just can't imagine how one would 'watch out for them' though.

They also frequent roses and cherry trees, so beware. They are really cute though....they are called saddleback caterpillars. They don't bite but are covered in quills that have poison in them.
