In my experience, it's better to plant when it's a little warmer, the roots seem to become more established. Also, I have found the pansies in 4" pots are better than the 6 packs.

Pansies do great in a container. You can also plant bulbs in with them for a nice treat in Spring.

What would cause the pansies to wilt? I don't mean wilt-die, I mean wilt-droop. Do you think that's because of too much water? I pop off the spent flowers like I was instructed to do by one of my neighbors but they haven't developed new flower heads yet. Am I doing something wrong?
