IME the best way to raise strawberries is as a single midwinter crop. Using june bearers plated in Nov.
I have never found a cultivar that will make it through summer. Maybe others have better experiences.??

Haha, well if its doomed for failure, at least it didnt cost too much. If I see it starting to get too much heat I will hang them from my magnolia tree I guess.

Didn't mean that at all.lol If someone has a better experience would love to hear the method. Seemed to croak from the humidity more than the heat. Got all kinds of diseases as summer progressed.
Strawberry is a temperate plant requires a cool if not cold rest period. but there are dozens of species as well as cultivars
I found the method on the U of florida website the most productive for ten like I described .
If you find a better method please share?? What would be better thaan everbearing strawberries.??
Florida after all is the secind largest producer of strawberries so they're always working on it ??
