Directions from Atlanta: Take I-85 North to I-985 to exit 16 (Highway 53 / Oakwood), turn left at the bottom of ramp. Continue ½ mile, turn right into the Gainesville College Campus (3rd traffic light) on Landrum Education Drive. The Continuing Education Building is on the right.

"On the Road with a Gardener's Diary"

Erica Glasener  Horticulturist and writer, Erica is the host of "a GardenerÂs Diary" which airs Mon-Fri on Home and Garden TV (HGTV) at 7AM. She writes a biweekly column for the AJC and often contributes to a number of national publications. Erica also co-authored several books with AtlantaÂs Walter Reeves.

"Good Plants for Small Spaces"

Mildred Pinnell Fockele  Mildred has a BA in biology from Agnes Scott College and a MS in Horticulture from the University of Georgia. She is Horticulture Director for the Atlanta Botanical Gardens, and is in charge of all the outdoor gardens, as well as the Smithgall Arboretum. Mildred also teaches classes at ABG, speaks at various symposia/programs, teaches Master Gardener classes, and has been on radio and TV discussing all things horticultural.

"Edible Plants in Your Garden  When to harvest, and what parts to eat"

Denise Smith  The former owner of GardenSmith, Denise has horticulture degrees from Temple University and the University of Delaware; and has extensive experience in gardens and nurseries along the eastern seaboard. In her spare time, she has been known to jump out of perfectly good airplanes.

"Made in the Shade and Sun with Ferns"

George Sanko  George was a professor of biology and botany at Georgia Perimeter College for 40 years. He began the college herbarium and collected over 5,000 native plants. For the Atlanta Botanical Gardens, he created the largest native plant collection in the nation; which includes over 400 taxa of ferns.
