Specifically, Cutleaf Toothwort, Cardamine concatenata, a/k/a Dentaria lacinata

Anyone having success growing this spring ephemeral in the Piedmont area? If so, would appreciate any tips that would contribute to getting some established in my woodlands.

I had one of the plants many years ago, from the Blue Ridge area of N GA, but having been located in less than an ideal location and being periodically dug up by squirrels or chipmunks, it finally expired.

Have been offered some from a central TN location (where it grows like a weed!), but don't want to subject them to a slow death, if there isn't much chance of success here.

I have learned how to thwart the pesky rodents and keep a large roll of chicken wire on hand at all times!
