Thanks for posting this. I think that even without being alerted, anyone who saw one of these monsters would call SOMEONE about it. Sheesh, these are bigger than the rats I've had here recently.

The place to look for them is in pet stores. If you see any, be sure to call the 800 number. It's illegal to have sell them or buy them in this country. Pet stores are famous for telling people that they have special licences for animals like this, when no such documentation exists.

Too bad they eat so much. They look delicious and wouldn't ya know it, I just bought four cans of snails at Fresh Market for $1.99 each, and I would have only needed one of these snails to get as much!
