Good think we attached the overflow hoses to the rain barrels yesterday. Right now I have them flowing onto the lawn to keep that getting soaked.

I emptied out the barrels as much as I could the past two days and watered everything. And today, after it stops raining. I'll put as much water as I can in anything I can store it in. It's going to rain again on Sunday/Monday so I need to empty out the barrels. Who knows when it will rain next.

Folks to the north appear to have gotten the bulk. Only 0.05" here last night with a tiny bit more so far this morning. Someone in Acworth reported 1.20" yesterday!

Thank God for this rain! There was a time in my 'distant' memory when I would've been disappointed to get up on Thanksgiving and see it raining. I guess when we have to do without something we appreciate it more. My 3 rain barrels are full :)

Yup. It's raining right now. I'm trying to see if my rain barrels are full already.....

Its certainly better than nothing, but I still feel very disappointed in the rain from Thanksgiving week and weekend. The forecasters were predicting 1-3" or more for us. All told I collected 0.81" from two separate storms. Numerous people in Alabama and Tennessee got over 1.50". How does the really heavy rain continue to miss us time after time?!
