Does this chair and rug placement work in real life?

the swivel chair is hanging off the edge of the rug -does this work in real life? Seems it would unbalanced/unstable. I just ordered a swivel chair nad need to decide on new area rug size and placement. Thank you for any insights.

    Yes it does actually, I just ordered a Lee swivel chair and it works perfectly to have it half on-half off of my custom rug! Hope that helps
