First time heirloomer w/ comments

I guess I don't have much of a question... I just wanted to share my experience this growing season. I have always had a novice modest garden but I picked up 3 heirloom tomato plants at the local farmer's market this spring. A Cherokee Purple, a Striped German and German Johnson. The fella told me what to do (trim all the low branches and make sure nothing is touching the ground and support them bigtime) and what a success they were! The taste doesn't compare to the plants I had been planting over the years from small plants I've bought from Lowes and other local garden stores. I guess this is how folks get involved in heirlooms. I want to try the same ones next year and then a couple more too. If I enjoyed the ones I already listed, what are some other ones I should try? I live in NC.
