I just took the picture of my red lime, it is about 4 feet tall, it is very low care compared to other citrus.

My dwarf lime from Lukas nursery is about 6 feet tall and it needs more care same like the Meyer lemon.

Where is everyone getting these red lime trees? I saw a few trees on a property I have been working on and grabbed a few fruit and planted about 20 seeds. 13 have come up already, but I still have a few years before I see any fruit.

Plantsman, I got it from Excalibur nursery in South Florida.

Thank you Silvia. I guess I will plant it in a large container. Most of my back yard is poorly drained.

Thanks Silvia, I should have guessed. They have every fruit tree known to man down there, especially all the tropical stuff I can't grow outside around here. That's OK, if it is something I just have to have, and I can keep it under 10 feet tall, I can grow anything in one of my greenhouses. Now I have to see how long it will be before I take a trip down that far. Thanks.

Shuffles, sounds like a good plan to put it in the container, I had mine in a pot before I put it in the ground.

Planstman, If you are going to make a trip down the nursery, call them before to see if they have the red lime.

I'll do that for sure. If I can't get down there in the next few months, I may ask them to bring it to the trade show in Orlando when they come up for that. Thanks again for the help. They have such a unique combination of tastes that I haven't seen anywhere.

What? No pictures of ripe fruit?

This one is with a London broil I cooked on the grill, marinated with some of Silvia's red limes, sorry I didn't cut it open so you could see how beautiful it was inside :-(

From Home Depot in Saint Petersburg Florida thought it was a regular lime tree at first. I used tomatoes flowering fertilizer. Big production.
