LOL.....Good Lord. Anymore folks can't wait to stick their nose into your business. These'll be the same people with huge dogs in a pen or on a chain who never clean up after them so that the aroma of dog patties permeates your picnic, or the ones who turn their car on in winter for an hour and let the exhaust waft, or wait until you hang your clothes to set fire to their burn barrel.

It does reek, doesn't it? LOL Your own nose gets accustomed to it, and you forget how it smells to other people. My daughter brought home a new boyfriend one night to meet us. You could tell he was embarrassed by the look on his face when he came in the back door, as was she. I had forgotten that I had a huge stone crock of kraut just starting to ferment by the back door in the sunroom. It finally dawned on me why they looked uneasy and everyone broke into laughter when I lifted the lid on the kraut crock. I suspect he thought we had septic problems or a dead animal hanging in the rafters.

I like the odor of kraut fermenting in a crock!
