Is it time to harvest my broccoli

12 years ago

This is my first time growing broccoli, and I've read that once the florets in the head start to space a little, it's time. I put transplants in the ground only a month ago (zone 7a), so it doesn't really seem right time-wise. The heads are 4-5" in diameter. Are they ready?
