Goats and Mature Trees

Hello

I have three goats, two does and a male. The male is neutered. I was thinking of moving them to an area that is about 1/3 mature trees... but was wondering if they will harm the trees or do alot of damage to the trees.

I am new to goats, the owners of the house we just bought left them behind and I got the male from someone who was giving him away because it seemed the does really missed the large herd the previous owners had...

Any advice would be nice.

John Seymour said in his book The Complete Book Of Self Sufficiency, that "Goats will thrive in a deciduous woodland (perhaps one to an acre), and give plenty of milk, but they will, have no doubt of it, prevent any regeneration of trees."
So if you have the space, I can't see the harm.
