Are old (young) are your plants? And are you feeding them? Maybe wait until they're more mature, and also give them a harder time.

Just saw this statement in another post and thought I'd add to my first by saying that they are in all kinds of soil, the best to the worst. Also they flowered like mad and look very healthy.

"The best flavour comes when they have to work hard for a feed!"

I don't feed mine with the exception of a little rabbit manure/straw mix top-dressing in late spring (I don't mulch anything before June) and they have great flavor.

Same. I grew them in pots all over and they taste like grass.
