Wow beautiful flowers! Thanks for posting these pics! :)

Very funny, Rick! My brother pointed out to me that I had poison ivy growing there. I wouldn't recognize poison ivy until you rubbed my nose in it! I guess it's my security system for any thieves patroling my garden. Must get rid of that sucker . . .

Nancy, gorgeous pics! ES bloomed a little this year, but nothing as pretty as yours. And I do love ATP.

    Another couple:

    CHANNELED AGGRESSION

GOTHIC WINDOW (must learn to take pics that don't include my toes)

    I'm drooling.

I had the pleasure of visiting Curt's garden a couple of weeks ago and the most awesome thing happened. David Kirchoff and Curt spent several hours with myself and my neighbor giving us a tour. I have several on my want list since this visit. Has anyone seen photos of Jerry Hyatt or Northern Kingfisher. Oh my! I can't get them out of my mind - they are both that spectacular! Ok enough... Here are some others I grow. Voices in Fog is blooming today.

Very funny Maximus,,I found this vine growing up the front of my house and thought hmmmm I kinda like that vine BUT I don't really want anything growing up and into the brick so I pulled it down and laid in on the ground,,a few days later I started itching bad ROFL,,so I was thinking and thinking,,NOW WHERE DID I GET POISON IVY OUT THERE,,I went out looking around and went WELL DUH!!!!WHAT AN IDIOT I AM!! I sprayed Roundup on it but then it disappeared,,my son had dug it up for me ROFL,,I sure know NOW what it looks like!!!

Rocky, you lucky dog! A tour from both?? Don't know how Tide Line hadn't made it onto my wish list -- I fixed that in a hurry. Voices in Fog was a new one this year that didn't bloom.

Dot, I'm about to put my rubber gardening gloves on and see if I can pull that ivy out. I can't believe I've never come in contact with it (but I guess that shows you how much I weed).

Wow, these pics are awesome!!! I'm new to daylilys and have been looking over recent posts. I think I like Hanson's better than Munson's. Red sleeved warrior is so stunning. Thanks for the pics everyone,
    Maureen

Maureen, if you haven't grown any of these, you should try a few -- they should do great in your climate.

wow; some awesome blooms.Gorgeous. My favorites in these are Tide Line and Gently Down the Stream..
    Thanks for sharing them.

What is the garden object w/the star in the lower corner of Red-Sleeved Warrior pic? I am into stars in my garden decor.
Hanson's daylilies are great in my gardens.

    'UNITY CONSCIOUSNESS'

Marlene -- I snapped a quick photo for you:

It was a gift that I just love. It's terra cotta, the size of a bowling ball -- put a candle in the hole in the bottom and it's beautiful at night. I know it was purchased in Michigan, but I have no idea where.

I added Tide Line this season, but it hasn't bloomed for me so hopefully next year. I think I first saw it on this thread last year! Sure are some beauties on this one, thanks for reviving it Rita.

Katie, I just added Inca Apothecary this year, and your other two are on my wish list.

I have a few others that haven't been posted, but I think I'll start a new thread!

I wish I had a photo of Body Rub to put here for you. It blooms and blooms, and after a 100 degree day it still looks almost as good as new. I do love my Hansons. They really perform for me.

Thank you so much for posting those photos!
I never gt tired of gazing at Curt's flowers.

All super nice daylilies everybody. Tip for anyone who has a reaction to poison oak or ivy go to the drug store and buy a product called Zanfel it is about $40.00 a tube but it works and keeps it from spreading I promise, I got eat up with it 1 year but no more.
    Jill

Zinfidel works some too, if you drink enough of it. I'm off to pick up Mom In southern Ohio today, I'll be back tonight and I'll post some pictures I took at Curts along with some photos of some of his seedlings.

    Here ya go!

    {{gwi:673842}}

    A few seedlings.

This is a wonderful seedling but Curt says its too top branched. He is using it a lot though.

    Ginny is about 5'4"

    AQUIRED ARCADIAN BLISS

    ALL ALONG THE WATCHTOWER

    STILL MORNINGS MIST

    NICK OF TIME

These are Curts intros but I couldn't get see the tags to photograph them, and I lost my notes.

Thanks for taking the time to load all those great shots! I love the first seedling (top-branched or not), and I'm also liking the pleats and folds on some of his new intros.

He has so many I still want, but I've noticed the prices on Hanson cvs tend to remain high quite a few years after they've been introduced. Any idea why? I'll splurge anyway, but was just curious.

    Chris

Thank you Bambi!! Those are wonderful photographs & getting a glimpse of that hallowed seedling bed was a spiritual experience for me...

I've noticed the Hanson prices stay up there for years too. It must be about supply & demand and that he propagates his creations on a smaller scale than many other top hybridizers?

Chris, I went looking for a photo of Inside Performer & found this, just had to add this link to your thread, too, hope you don't mind. *grin*

Here is a link that might be useful: Another catalog

Thanks, mareas! The slideshows just reaffirmed my wish list material. At last count, I had 94 Hansons with another 20 or so on my list (not including the 2007 intros I want). You and Bambi are definitely feeding my addiction . . .

Curts intros hold their value because he can never seem to produce enough plants to fill all the orders he gets each year. I was out there a number of times last summer because I really do live close, and he was really upset that he had too many orders, and not enough plants to fill them.

Curt really has some nice stuff coming in the future. The third seedling is really strange, it almost looks like a tulip, that is as open as it gets.

I would have been out there every week during the bloom but I had taken my van in for repairs on the 10th of May, and still did not get it back until mid July. The reason Ginny doesn't look happy in that photo is my van had been at a srepair shop here in Maple Heights, and the owner had it towed out past Curts to his other shop, and we had just been there asking why it was out there, and when it was going to be done. That was on July 2nd. To make a long story short, I had to have it towed back here to someone else, and it cost me over $800.00 to have it fixed and some of that cost was to repair work the other guy had done. I basically got sick of driving my wife to and from work.

Rockypug - how well does Tide Line perform for you?
