It is manufactured by Bernardin in Canada so it sure should be available. This online ordering link takes (linked below with picture of it) you do Gold's Kitchen for ordering. Don't know where the Canadian groceries would place it but down here it is usually found in the Spices section as it isn't used just for canning. It's primary use is for fresh food preparation.

It's not too magical, a combination of Dextrose, Ascorbic Acid (Vitamin C), Citric Acid that just happens to be offered in a convenient shaker container, making it quick and easy.
I can find it in with the spices, salts aisle too, used in fresh foods preparations like fruit salad or fruit trays for buffets and not just a canning product...

You might try emailing Bernardin and asking where you can find it locally.

I bought some today at loblaws it was with the pectin and stuff for preserves

Here it's usually with the pectin and other canning supplies, but I seldom buy it. It's just too expensive for what it is, and so I just crack open a couple of Vitamin C capsules or crush a couple of tablets with my mortar and pestle, mix with a couple of quarts of water. I slice produce into the acidified water mixture to prevent oxidation and it works like a charm and is far, far, far less expensive. Did I say far less expensive? (grin)
