Sleeping Beauty

Sleeping Beauty, a sport of Halycon, I think I'm going to like watching this one change as the season progresses.

WOW, your Sleeping Beauty is beautiful, looks like the pictures I saw that made me buy it. I hope mine grows as well as yours.

is the hosta with the dark green rippled edge 'journeys end' in background on the left?

uk-h, yes - Journey's End in its 3rd year. I think at least a couple of more years for it to fill out.

How much sun can Sleeping Beauty take? I just came across a really nice 1 gallon container of it on a clearance rack. (Pot full of roots and 5 eyes). I planted it in a nice spot but Im realizing that it is going to get some strong mid-day sun. Does it burn easily?

I don't know about mid-day, but mine gets sun from 2-6 and hasn't burned. It is a little paler than the photos, though.

We have at least one, and I very much remember that one of them is in an area that was devastated early this year by cut-worms, but I was amazed that this cultivar was un-touched by said pest.

Sorry, no picture available, but trust me, it's the only plant still showable in that bed, woo-hoo

Good deal, get one or more, and it will be a good plant!

I have two Sleeping Beauty's. Both are cute and perky plants. I really like this hosta so far. One plant is in an area where I lost a branch off a tree that sheltered her from afternoon sun. Her color has lightened a bit but otherwise I am very surprised how nice she looks in spite of the drought and hot days we had this year.

This one came as a bonus from Hallsons on a order. I really like her a lot!

I have my SB in morning sun, probably a good 4 hours. She's a baby, so I can't comment on long term. Sorry for the bluriness, still learning how to take a good picture:

Nice-I just ordered a Sleeping Beauty, among others, on Saturday. Those are great-looking ones you have there, you two, and I hope the one I get at least begins to approach yours in beauty and quality. Really looking forward to it/them! Enjoy!
