You know what? I am revolting. I'm not doing a search and I'm going to post anyway! So there.
This question is for those of you that don't mind answering. The rest can just skip over it.
I ordered Clear Jel and made my first batch of the apple pie filling. I am not one that cooks with corn starch and in the case of gravy, since I'm southern, I follow the "first you make a rue" philosophy. While I realize Clear Jel is not corn starch, but a modified version, I also realize there must be a technique involved to keep it from lumping when you are mixing the ingredient together for the pie filling. I ended up having to dump the first "filling" batch because I couldn't get the lumps out. Managed to get it right the second time, but was wondering if there is some "technique" on doing this?
Thanks very much and I'll say a prayer for the thread I made disappear for all eternity for posting this one!
