I have two, not doing that well, but alive. One died.
I got them from Adams Newburgh 2 years ago.
They like a lot of water, and droop when they don't get it.
Not sure about the PH, but I seem to remember "neutral" or
"adaptible" on the label, or I wouldn't have put them where they are.
I remember the roots/runners being very thick and fleshy and
unwinding into long, tan off-shoots.
I'm actually getting rid of mine, if you want them.
If you do, let me know asap, they'll be in containers soon!
They don't fit the way my landscape is going. I'm looking for stronger colors.

I purchased a Sweet Sprire from Home Depot on clearance! just planted it so I don't know anything about it yet; I checked tag to see if I could find nursery of origin, but alas, none listed

I should have mentione what the tag indicated;
exposure; sun - part shade
spacing; 8 -10 ft
3-6 ft tall; 5-8 ft wide
Fertalizing: fertalize in spring just before new growth begins
hardiness: -20 to -10 F
Water Use: keep moist until well established then water regularly as needed
