question about Sonnenberg Gardens

Has anyone been to Sonnenberg Gardens in Canandaigua? I went in the early 90s and thought it was one of the best gardens in the country. But they had financial problems and the state just took over. I am wondering what the gardens look like today. I've been telling so many people that they HAVE to see Sonnenberg Gardens and I want to be sure that's still good info. So, anyone been there? Thanks!
