I have wondered about a few hummingbird shots on this site, but the best informational resource for digital cameras would not be here. Try www.dpreview.com , they have hundreds of sample shots covering every kind of camera.

I really dont see why this forum wouldnt be the perfect place to ask about the cameras people use since the forum is filled with people who take digital photos of humingbirds.

How can this not be a good place to ask for input. Maybe I should reword my subject line...and state, please tell me the type of camera you use for hummer shots.

rjinga, My knowledge of cameras is very limited, but maybe this will help. I use the close-up and manual focusing features more than the zoom function when photoing HB's. I manually focus on a port where I hope a hummer will land, and then wait. This was focused at about 2-3":

The 12 MP, zoom and image stabilization all sound great! Does it have a "macro" function? That's important for close-ups.

I still have my first Kodak 126 which is in good working condition. However, finding film developing is a major problem!
