Hummingbird Garden

?? Do 'Hummingbird Houses' Work

Even though I haven't seen any hummers this year, I'm thinking ahead. I've had the feeders out for two weeks, even a red sheet to let them know I'm open for business!!! I've been hooked on the live feed from hummingbird nests and would love to see if we couldn't do it too, BUT I don't have any trees close enough and haven't seen any nests. Thought maybe someone might have tired them or have some suggestions.

You can buy hummingbird NESTING PLATFORMS. Google it!

For starters, hummingbirds aren't cavity nesters, so they wouldn't use an actual house or nest box... but maybe you're referring to the Hummingbird House, developed by retired meteorologist Dan True... it's actually a platform of sorts, not a house... as to whether or not it works, well, it worked at least once for the photo on the website...
