I have no idea, but the perennial forum here on the gardenweb is more active than this forum and the most knowledgeable one for this question.

Im afraid I have no idea about this plant and what Ken says is true this forum is not too active right now , not nearly as active as network54 but when the hummers start arriveing it will definately perkup in activity.

Im guessing that is not too far away. Last year I had my earliest arrival ever 4-25. With the warm weather pattern going on this year that record has a chance to be broken but with hummers you can never be certain.

I have that same variety of Penstemon and it looks like mine.
