Is This Feeder Functional?????

I was given this feeder as a gift last year. I put it out late so I assumed that was the reason I never saw a hummer drink from it.

This year it was set out at the same time with other feeders....I see hummers buzz around it but yet to see one drink from it. If you have a feeder like the one in the picture and is used by the hummmers, please share your comment. Thanks! Here is a link to the photo:

gardenlady48, I'm pretty new at this but wouldn't you have to almost totally fill that feeder for the nectar level to be high enough to drink?

I have found that these decorative feeders are not used as much if at all by the hummers. The simpler the feeder the better. They do make nice decorations tho.

It looks like my feeder. Is it a "Charisma by BirdBrain?
My hummies love it! They will drink the nectar until 1/4 of the nectar is left at the bottom.

Did you have a different feeder hanging there before?

Im with Penny-- those kind of feeders are more for you than the hummers. Simple and easy to use and clean thats what I want.
