Hummingbirds and sharpie

My feeder's getting old and the colors have faded. I decided to use sharpie marker to make them vibrant again. But now I'm worried that if I put it outside, the fumes may harm the animals. If I let it air out for a day or so, or rinse it or whatever else, will it be safe for hummingbirds, bees, ants, etc?
